As a Scrum Master you are a facilitator for Agile development teams. You are responsible for managing the exchange of information between team members.

Scrum is a project management framework that enables a team to communicate and self-organize to make changes quickly, in accordance with Agile principles. As part of your day-to-day, your essential responsibilities include:

  • Establish scrum process and practices
  • Educate about scrum values
  • Help team resolve conflicts when possible
  • Protect the scrum team from unnecessary distractions or interference
  • Facilitate team meetings like the daily scrum, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives

The course consists of 7 modules, spread over 8 days. Delegates will write either Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) exam externally after the course.

Delivery Formats

Exams

Delegates are required to book their certification examination with one of the test providers listed below. On successful completion of the exam delegates will be awarded the PSM I for the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Delegates who attend this course are expected to:

  • Become aware of software testing techniques and standards.
  • Understand the basic steps in the testing process and understand where testing fits in to each stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Interpret test specifications, execute tests and report on tests results.
  • Understand project factors that drive test priorities and test approach.
  • Be able to develop a test plan and other documentation, as per standards.
  • Perform effective testing based on established methods and techniques.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of functional and non-functional test levels.
  • Understand the value that software testing brings to stakeholders.
  • Have an awareness of testing tools and what they can achieve.

What is a Scrum Master?

A scrum master is a coach and a guide who ensures their team understands the scrum framework and its principles, values, and practices. They are a servant leader who helps their team in many ways.

What is the role of a Scrum Master?

As a scrum master your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Are Scrum Masters in demand?

There is a significant and growing demand for experienced Scrum Masters. There are a lot of Scrum Master jobs available and the number is growing rapidly. We are still at the start of a significant shift in how organisations manage their work.

How much do Scrum Masters earn?

Scrum Master salaries vary by role, location and company. The average salary range of a Scrum Master in UK according to Indeed.com is about £55-65k basic salary per year for permanent positions.

What experience do I need to become a Scrum Master?

You do not require IT or programming knowledge to train as a Scrum Master. Our course is designed for individuals with no IT knowledge or experience and offers excellent career and salary prospects.

What is covered in the course?

This course covers the complete concepts of Scrum Master. We can say it as mid-level for Scrum Masters. Please refer to the Outline tab for more information about the course content.

Will this course offer me skills to find a job?
